Yeah, for me it was her performance of Bring Me Your Loves on Letterman. That's what hooked me and made me a fan. And that's why it's still my favorite.parasolmonster wrote:Good choice! I've enjoyed the couple of songs they did with Annie Clark. I just can't get into that's guy's voice or his delivery. *shrugs*Strat wrote:You're put together beautifullydurdencommatyler wrote:I don't think I've ever been tempted to even listen to The National.BurtReynolds wrote:I'm tempted to say The National.

I just listened to them for the first time. I guess I can see the appeal, but they do nothing for me personally.tragabigzanda wrote:I'm with you Durds. I was going to say the same thing. But the National are so good that you could claim that almost any of their albums is their best.VinylGuy wrote:this.BurtReynolds wrote:I'm tempted to say The National.

And I don't hate The National. I appreciate some of the stuff I've heard. They aren't a bad band or anything. Just can't get into the vocals. So I never think about listening to them.

I like Boxer. They didn't really do a lot for me until I watched the documentary Mistaken for Strangers, which was a good showcase for their music aside from being a touching story in its own right.durdencommatyler wrote:I've enjoyed the couple of songs they did with Annie Clark.
