It's a very middle-of-the-road song for me, and I'm really stymied as to why people love it so much. I do love the bridge, though.
This is my response to NAIS. Without the interesting time signature and replace Soundgarden with Pink Floyd. Oh, and I don't like the bridge.
Man, I love everything about Nothing As It Seems.
I love everything about you.

You might change your mind after you read my post about Falling Down, though.

I know. Everyone but me does. It just seems like Jeff heard Comfortably Numb on the radio and went home and tried to come up with something similar. And I already hate Comfortably Numb. It just hits absolutely nothing for me as far as what I like in a song.

See? I'm the only one in Pearl Jam fandom that doesn't like it.

I've never noticed any similarity between the two. But I also really love Comfortably Numb. So.

Sleight of Hand is top shelf Pearl Jam. And it has been (for me) since the first time I heard it. From listen #1 it was my favorite song on Binaural (an album that's taken a long time for me to catch up to) and it hasn't let go since. I goddamn love that song so much it's sickening.

I actually get annoyed when Pearl Jam covers Comfortably Numb because they should just be playing NAIS instead.
