Ole is much better than most of the rockers from both albums.

This is well-sequenced, though Ole looks sort of shoe-horned in to me.
its in the place of the classic 8th track rocker (big wave, supersonic).

I've listened to Ole like 3 times, I don't even remember how it goes.

Sure, I can see that. But then Speed of Sound sort of comes out of nowhere, before rocking again with FoN. Were it me, I'd embrace the easy transition from Yellow Moon to Speed of Sound.
yeah, it just follows the backspacer template of supersonic --> speed --> force. i did consider swapping force with speed but thought i'd just leave it with the experts. there are up and downs all over no code and we
all love it.

Same.
Ole fucking rules man. I felt very take it or leave it for the first few years. Then I didn't listen for a long while and with fresh ears realized it's a propulsive killer. Put it in the Supersonic slot on BS and the back half of that record automatically jumps a few notches. It's a precursor to Mind Your Manners, but it sounds like a band playing in the same room and the guitars are garage rock bro.

I am one of those who feels like Pearl Jam has not put much effort into their albums over the last decade. I truly wonder if they even see any value in trying to put new music together at this point. Even the snippet I heard from the new cover album song "Again Today" just sounds like more of this non-interesting, over-produced pop/punk fusion train wreck that I assume Ed has led them on. If they want to keep doing new music maybe drop one new song a year or something that you really try on. I guess this rant was provoked by these playlists.
