Welcome aboard, EBowie.
Thanks again, guys...
...for what its worth, I am 36, from Massachusetts (life-long resident), I've been playing drums for close to 16 years (started an instrument late at age 20), and my first Pearl Jam show was Sept. 16th, 1998 (Mansfield).
I have been hooked since the first few notes of Release. Seeing them live for the first time just blew me away and I was particularly amazed by Matt's drumming. So in the same night, I became a fan for life and was inspired to get into playing drums. I'm so grateful that I had such an amazing experience seeing that first show.
With that said, the '98 tour and the Yield album will always hold a special place for me. But, as far as the albums go, I can't say that I have a favorite. There are moments in each album that I love. Some albums are definitely stronger than others but I am not someone who can say that I flat-out dislike a particular album.
I look forward to talking music with you all...and also look forward to some talk about gear, recording, production, etc...
Oh yeah, where in Massachusetts?

Where from in MA? I'm also 36, from Gloucester originally, now living in MT.
I've always said RM is the new Match.com.

Small world---I've lived in Gloucester for the last 10 years. I grew up in Rockport but I consider myself from Gloucester at this point.

Nice to see the board fostering a little diversity.
Red Mosquito: Come for the Pearl Jam discussion, stay for the rampant homosexual innuendo.

hey guys,
i'm new as well. well, technically I had an account back in 2006(?)
but probably haven't been on here since 2009-2010.
What happened?
Nothing much, went to college, made new friends (sorry), got a job, lost a job, got another job etc etc
My girlfriend - now ex, hated Pearl Jam and my other music so I kinda drifted away from here and music.
Has anyone else found being less into music as you get older?
Chris Cornell's death made me think about this place again. Currently listening to King Animal on repeat.
Not because it's my favorite, only cos I didn't really listen to it when it came out cept for a few times.
Kinda nervous about posting as some of the people on here are very sharp and
make me feel like the dumb kid in class so please be gentle
(I have already lubed myself before anyone tries that one!)
btw, the archive section is awesome but also kinda makes me a little sad.
it's like stepping back in time when we were all younger and makes me feel old and a little depressed.
does anyone remember the rm user who posted noodz?
i remember coming late to the party on that one and always felt like I missed out.
always thought she was hot on the couple of pics i saw.
also does anyone know how to add a picture next to my username?
and what the post rank is? i don't like seeing 'spambot' next to my name and want to get rid of it asap!
anyways, be nice to here back from someone

Welcome back to the board
Your post count will change over time. Spambot is just a few posts.
You can add a profile pic under user control panel (upper right part of the screen)

were you talking about crazy lil girl?
also, its not so much about losing interest in music, its more about losing the energy to actively seek out new music. when some people here recommend new music to me and i like it, im all over it. But im like 2 decades removed from knowing where to find decent new music these days.
