It would be lovely to have the crowd do Chris's part
Maybe. But it wasn't lovely when the crowd did EV's part during the TotD tour. It was annoying, actually.
Wow. Hard disagree.
My opinion is irrational though. I generally dislike crowds singing, people (especially kids) talking in unison, etc.

I get that. I'm not usually a big fan, either. But I was surprised how cool the moment felt at the show, especially since that was maybe the one song they played all night that you could be pretty sure every person in the crowd knew.

I'd be shocked if PJ covered a SG song. Temple song? Sure of course.

I think if you were there (or even listening) the sentiment and the symbolism would outweigh the general dislike

It's wierd that he mentioned it, but not wierd that he dislikes it. I would be freaked out if people talked in unison. That shouldn't happen.

Why is that weird? Here in the states we have a lot of commercials, especially local ones, that feature people talking in unison. It is annoying. Like a chiropractor's office all reading from the same cue card to "visit Smith Chiropractic today". And it generally seems so sterile and sad.

Umm, I was there. I was at the SF Night 1 TotD show, stip. It was fine in the moment (I guess) but listening to it afterwards it is kind of annoying.

Guys, I don't mind double tracks, harmonizing, groups singing, etc.
But yes, I hate choirs. And yes, I hate when EV lets the crowd sing Betterman. It is the worst.

I dunno, I think "people talking in unison" is a random-ass thing to hate.
