no i saw prophets of rage 3 years ago and the music was spot on - the original 3 were playing as well as ever
Zack won't be able to scream the same way and his later years rapping style is not as pointed
but it will be damn good
Tom Morello is a music mastermind
when he and Tim C combine and that radiates through you it is something else
quality of the sound is so good
although they always seem to fuck up the intro to guerilla radio
that effect seems hard to control live

they played 6-7 RATM songs live
it was Rage Against the Machine with B Real singing
the music sounded amazing
not a step lost from Rage shows
in fact maybe better bc they are older now and more skilled

The difference is Chuck D was involved with this and Zack wasn’t

Zack's music with them would suck too. I guess the difference is he is too smart to make any. Just cashes in on the old stuff when he gets behind on bills.

Yep. Hence why he is better than Chuck D. And hence:

As much as I really want to see them, there are 3 thinks preventing me from pulling the trigger:
1. What LV said about reunions
2. The stupid prices
3. The audience, especially in Raleigh near me where it will be middle aged southern dudes who never even knew there was a message to the music, will be horrendous. Guys trying to live out their 90's in some kind of geriatric mosh pit.

I’d love to go but I am afraid of being trampled by 45 year old bros looking for one last night of drunken glory behind songs they never understood the meaning behind.
Or that.
Ruddo please try paying attention

Yeah I was emphasizing that point. It is worse here in the south. It is legit rednecks using the songs as an excuse to get into fights while yelling "fuck you I won't do what you tell me!". It is just so obviously hilarious to anyone with any kind of intelligence that these dumbasses are Trump supporters and have no clue.

If you've already seen them before I can see skipping this. But if you love Rage, haven't seen them, and have the means to see them...I don't understanding skipping them because it isn't 1999, there's going to bros at the show, or because it's a week night. Idk. I'd rather take a chance and see them than skip it and later wish that I saw them when I had the chance. Worst case, they suck. I saw Bob Dylan a few years and the show sucked. It was disappointing, but I lost one evening of my life and $60 bucks and now I don't have to sit here wishing I had seen Bob Dylan. I've wanted to see Rage for like 20 years and haven't ever had the opportunity until now. For me personally, I'd regret not seeing them way more than I'd regret seeing a crappy show from them. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a lot of fun either way.

1. the 2007 rage reunion was excellent
2. if prices are a concern then wait til closer to the show bc i think they will drop (tons of dates on this tour)
3. check out a NE show where everyone is effete

I didn't bite on tickets, I wanted to for one of the MSG shows. But they didn't write any material after the 2007 reunion and when I saw them in 2008, they were fucking amazing. I don't see them being different than the previous reunion and they are older.
