Must be some speaker music outside of Wrigley. Unless Kurt Cobain came back to life and is in there now.

Yeah i think they have it on a loop of 90s/"grunge" music. They were playing daughter earlier, maybe thats what people heard. Is it freezing every so often for anyone else?

Dave Matthews had a show-specific website set up to order merch for Alpine this year...I'm just sayin'.
Fuck limited edition merchandise in general though. How it benefits the band to not just take orders and print to order (posters, shirts, anything), I'll never understand. The only people that make money off this is the flippers, when the band could sell more (at the same profit per item) than they currently do. This isn't just Pearl Jam's fault; at the aforementioned Dave show the Alpine-specific shirt was already sold out an hour before the opening act night 2 and cell service was too dodgy to order on the site from within the venue.

The limited edition stuff absolutely helps the band. The hard core fans eat it up. If posters and hoodies and cards etc. were widely available the demand would perversely be lower.
I can't believe people wait in a 5 minute line let alone longer. I got tons of posters in 1998 and 2000 when nobody cared about them and haven't bought one since 2003.

You don't think that, for items with a 1,000 limit, that they wouldn't sell 2,500 if they made them available?given2trade wrote:The limited edition stuff absolutely helps the band. Never really understood the limited quantities thing with Pj but a lot of the time they get it harp wrong with merch and product. The track suits, vitalogy super deluxe sets, and others are gathering dust by the shed load so that might explain it.
Also a lot of people buy membership just to use the trading forum over there.
They could print pics of stones ass for biggicket events such as today and write PJ on it and they'll sell out. Don't understand why they don't make as many available as possible.
Though they've been doing the with posters the last few years and gotten it wrong with a sharp decline in the quality of the art.
Really wish they'd commission artists who actually listen to pearl jams music.
Doesn't seem any of them apart from Klausen actually do.
None of the poster art In the last ten years has borne any relation to the music. Just bad advertising style posters and poorly excecuted childish cartoon stuff
