He had no delusions about his ability to squander that opportunity, due to his rep, although the fight with Lee was played to his favor if course, as he certainly wasn’t short on confidence.
I'm leaning this way too, but would be fine if QT officially said it really happened
I listened to an interview with him recently where he said he likes to keep things ambiguous, open for interpretation. He says he knows what happened but if you believe something else happened and it works, that's fine too. He likes that. They were talking about the briefcase in PF and whether or not Booth killed his wife and if Harvey is guilty, etc. Didn't hear them mention that sequence. I was always pretty sure that whole sequence happened and I've watched the movie way more times than you by now. So drop it.

I finally got around to watching this last night and I thought it wasn't very good.
It's probably the worst Tarantino movie, I might even like Death Proof more.

Loved the first 4. I wasn't wild about the Death Proof through Hateful Eight run but I enjoyed the last one so much I think I should revisit. Someday.

I hope this wins some awards tomorrow.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is proof that a story being a bit predictable can be a good thing.
The ending scene was so over the top. I don’t think many directors other than Tarantino could have pulled it off without embarrassing themselves. Good shit. His best movie since Basterds.

Django was good. Much better than Hateful Eight. I tried twice to sit through that POS and was unable both times.

agreed. awful.
It has an amazing Di Caprio and does nothing with him. What a waste of time.

Interesting, I hadn't even noticed this. Lends credence to the "it didn't really happen" interpretation.

But I still think it's his imagination rather than something that happened.
Huh? It’s not about the cut, it’s about the people in the background disappearing.
