thanks. it was a hell of a ride -- one that i'll never forget.

when people ask what the big deal is with sports or why it affects our lives, i can tell them about this season and all the time i got to spend with my 15 year old son (the car rides back and forth from detroit, him (normally reserved) high fiving randos in the crowd and hugging me after the playoff wins, my 13 year old girl coming downstairs on sunday mornings yelling "game day!" to piss my wife off, and just being able to share the experience with my kids). maybe it's me being overly sentimental in my advancing years, but in three years from now when my kid is off to college, i'll look back at this year with nothing but incredible memories. i hope he can say the same.
