true
I compared ND with the John Cougar song with my 16 year old and she informed me it’s more like Footloose than the John Cougar tune.

Fuckin’ Footloose, man.
it's more like Johnny Be Good than Footloose
Well, she’s only 16.

that was a joke, I just wanted to continue the "it's more like... than..." a few times, with continuously weirder songs :)

Really enjoying this one right now. I had it on in the background and at around 2:15 into the song, Black, Red, Yellow popped into my head. Not sure if anyone has mentioned that or is hearing it. For a second there, I was fully expecting an answering machine recording to come on with Dennis Rodman.

I think my first listen was more relief than excitement; it kind of occupies the "Supersonic" spot but is light years better

it's a fast superficially-spritzy punker where that type of song has appeared in the last few albums; but as I said, it slowly revealed itself to be a lot better than that and now I think of Yield when I listen to it

Yield is a much better comparison. Second is really saying something!

This song is one of the most unabashedly joyous on the record.
