The 4,5 and 10-spots are typically my favorites. Great group of songs in the 10-hole here!

Okay, still interested in the interpretation of the "fell off the alter... wood cut in red" part of this song. Also, I love that the Queen of Collections could obviously be a metaphor for the Grim Reaper and there are only a couple real-life queens I could guess are the inspiration for this lyric.

My favorite part about this song is that it is just ambiguous enough to be a great song in perpetuity. It's not locked into a specific time and it doesn't have to be locked into a specific person or group of people.

I’ve got present tense at no. 1, but otherwise pretty similar.

I’ve said this hundreds of pages ago in this thread and I’m sure this has been mentioned by others too, Comes Then Goes is the best song in this vein that Ed or PJ has done since Small Town, and this is better than Small Town.

I like your enthusiasm, and I love this song, but you’ve been in arenas when they play Elderly Woman. It transcends. It’s magic. Comes Then Goes is personal and beautiful, but it’s no Elderly Woman.
