it's church meets 80's dance/pop. Now that i think about it i remember Madonna wanted to work with BoB sometime around the release of BS. That explains a lot.

I think this is a wonderful song that shows how Eddie has matured as a father and husband. Whether a song is good or bad is all subjective. I think Ed must be applauded for writing this song that is so close to his heart. Thanks a lot, Ed, if you're out there.

Slim to none. You could always edit it out with Audacity since it is pretty much bolted-on to the song.

LOL yeah. Slim to none. I'm just hanging onto the idea that it was way too loud in the mix and it might fit right on the album. More than the keyboard part itself, I'm actually just struggling with the fact that they bookend the song. What's the point?

I would love a musical interlude consisting of nothing but PJ giving themselves a round of applause for the last 22 years.

That's an example of something post-production that would lend a bit of irony and hence awesomeness to this song.

Actually, you've just reminded me: I think there are two tiny but clever things which make this song something more in context: 'Future Days' is like millennial / religious / eschatological language. Like 'latter days' or 'end times'. And that line -- 'I believe, because I can see' -- is a neo-religious allusion. I think it was Thomas who touched Jesus' wounds and said now I believe because I've seen. What Ed is doing here is subverting that and saying well I haven't seen the God these Jesus Freaks are talking about, but I have seen you, and you've changed my life.

Guitarists: is Mike playing slide guitar in this? Or e-bow? Or Both? I think some slide guitar could really be nice. And I also think the track we heard a few seconds of in that video had slide guitar in it, so maybe it appears once or twice elsewhere.

I'd rather hope for a good studio version now than watch the video again. But I have downloaded the songs and put them on my MP3 player to try and listen to the organ and electric guitar. Those could improve it, depending on what's done.

I agree. If its a nice full RA sound over a circus cheese JB sound ill appreciate it more.
