Course I do. By this one has Pj doing their usually verse pre chorus chorus thing but in a rather different way. It's almost like a bit of a mush mash of ideas but its organic too, feels ok it doesn't feel like the different parts don't belong together, if that makes sense?
Though the bridge is really the star of the show. As it often is with this band

it doesnt sound like that. there are just the same number of syllables in each phrase

riot acts production was often too subdued for larger sounding songs.

Hell, I feel like listening again.
That's ok then. Cos it's a great bridge.
Not hearing the get right comparison other than some timing and reverse melody here and there.
the handclaps Dime, the handclaps!
I was the one who made that comparison, and I can't really articulate why they remind me of each other, because they don't, but they do.

I think that's more an issue of band performance and arrangement than production/recording.

Worse than Supersonic?
Certainly on par. This is so unimaginative and pedestrian. It sounds like a warm up for a rehearsal or a throwaway on a kids movie soundtrack.
Anyway my distaste for this song hasn't changed since the first time I heard it.

I can hear what you're hearing but its just the melody travelling backwards rather than up or where you expect it to go. And it's in a similar timing too

I can't see BiH liking this at all. Appreciating that they may be having fun, yes possibly. But not like it.
It'll be interesting to see how this develops

however in this exceptional case you couldn't really swap the chorus for the bridge. Which is a shame. Maybe.

Ed's youtube snippet of it is probably creating a false picture for those who haven't yet heard the leak. Mislead hope, I would say.

He likes GSMF and big wave, so he does like some of the scrappy upbeat guitar heavy numbers.
He loves ac/dc
Lightning bolt is the one I figure he won't like

Yeah, there is no better way to mislead people about a song than to play it for them

Um, I like Big Wave a lot and GSMF is pretty good too. Time will tell and you know him better than I do.

I do quite like the chorus of Lightning Bolt - funnily enough, it vaguely reminds me of AC/DC. Those big chunky chords and the howled vocals, I guess, though I've only heard the Wrigley version once or twice (and that snippet from the promo video) so that might change on further reflection.

Well, like I've been known to say since my previous post, I count think anyone really KNOWS speeno

It's just very boring to read that obviously everyone is going to hate this song because I do.
