It is true, unfortunately. The most embarrassing moment of Christopher Nolan's career. He will be remembered as a weak man who bowed to a dying immoral agenda just to meet the woke rules required to win an Oscar.
People are coping by saying it's not a big deal because the chihuahua has very little screen time. But I don't care. It profanes the film with its presence. It offends me.
Nolan just shoehorning in another celebrity with the Taco Bell chihuahua

I went with a friend whose only reference point for this story was its Wishbone episode. The first thing he told me when the movie ended, credits still rolling, is that he liked this movie better than the Wishbone episode

It has more to do with Damon and his lack of gravitas than it was his accent.
Ian McDiarmid elevated the pile of odorous excrement that was the Revenge of the Sith script in every scene he was in.
Not a direct comparison but that’s the general idea behind my wishing it was a different actor, Brit or otherwise; someone who could better elevate the material.
At least hire someone without Ticonderoga number 2 pencil nips.

I honestly hadn't considered this, but now it's difficult not to see the Hollywood-industrial complex in cahoots with Hegseth's T-level screening for the military. Silicon Valley is the obvious bridge between Damon's crypto holdings and Palantir killchain tech.
