Local radio jumped the gun on the website announcement. Pj.com is right on track.
I'm guessing Seattle and Oakland are near-locks for second shows to be added. Think anything will happen with the extra days off between Buffalo and Woercester (Albany?) and OKC and Phoenix (Vegas or Denver?)?logan5ive wrote:I feel for you...Dallas is lucky it's getting it's first PJ show in 10 years. Houston and San Antonio might be on that 2018 tour. :/datfly wrote:I caught all 8. I guess he meant 2018 after the play South America and Europe 20 more times.
Only other shows would be Worcester 2 and Seattle 2...that's it.TouringReg wrote:I'm guessing Seattle and Oakland are near-locks for second shows to be added. If it is BDO, I'd say an arena-sized sideshow is more probable.WtOB? wrote:Yeah, looks like they may really be doing BDO. I wouldn't mind seeing them at a festival one time, just for the hell of it. As long as they do sideshows too o' course. Man I hope they're at Rod Laver and not Etihad. Laver is so much better.
As a result of today’s leak, it has emerged that there will be two Sydney events back-to-back, which West told theMusic.com.au he feels the festival has the market for.
“We didn’t feel the need to fool anybody… [US-based co-promoters] C3 felt, and I felt the same way, that if you’ve got it – flaunt it.”
He added that given both dates are on the weekend, “We want people to be able to choose which day they want to go, and if they want to go to two they can make that commitment at the time… It’s an experiment, it’s the same show twice apart from local bands, and a few bands have indicated that they’ll play different sets… it might be a total fuck-up, but it feels right.”
...
Keeping line-up hints close to his chest he said that there was likely to be three main headliners, while noting that neither Kanye West, Jay-Z or Neil Young would be any one of them.
“I was hoping for one ‘White Whale’, managed to get two and ended up with three,” he said.
Do it! I'll be going to both those two.Birds in Hell wrote:If it is BDO, I'd say an arena-sized sideshow is more probable.WtOB? wrote:Yeah, looks like they may really be doing BDO. I really hope I can make it to either a Sydney or Melbourne show (as well as the Adelaide BDO) if that happens.
I'm certainly going to try, it'll depend on my work situation at the time.WtOB? wrote:Do it! Yeah, this is totally going to happen. As we get closer to the Big Day Out lineup announcement on July 31, more details are continuing to appear. Big Day Out CEO Adam Zammit has mentioned several new pieces of information on Twitter, saying that this year’s festival will cost $20 more than last year’s, but will add extra value by having an extra headliner. He also said that two of those headliners have never played at an Australian festival before.
