I guess the next designation for Quarterbacks will be "Super"

Not sure how I feel about Clemson jumping to #6. I think I may put LSU, A&M, and maybe even Florida State ahead of them. For the latter, that may sound weird, but FSU has dominated Clemson lately. They're better until proven otherwise.

So they put out fan "rankings" of all 122 pro sports franchises. Memphis Grizzlies number 2. Toronto Maple Leafs #122. Sorry, phil

I'm so sick of these kind of stats being fed to me:
"First player with 100 yards receiving and a touchdown in 3 consecutive games in October in the SEC since..."

What would have been the appropriate thread for this, skitch?
That was a serious question, btw.

The near constant barrage of stats and records and scores have made watching sports unbearable sometimes. I remember waiting until 28 past the hour so I could see the score of something on the little ESPN cut in. But with the internet, all that information is entirely pointless. I dont need to see the score of Duke Vs. Virginia Tech 32 times on the bottom of the screen while Im watching a different game. Just take all that shit off.

The focus on stats certainly has to do with the increased focus on fantasy, and now that most networks are in bed with fantasy sites, it's only going to get worse.

I know. It's part of the reason I tired of fantasy sports a couple years back.

Yeah, I'm pretty over it. It's a fun little hobby at times, but people get way into it.
