From True Achievments...

NHL 94 Mode Coming to NHL 14

Sports games, as mentioned in previous articles, are a strange creature. They bombard us annually and, eventually, become sort of a blur, with us not really knowing what the difference is from year to year other than roster changes.

One game that bucked this trend is EA's classic NHL 94. Even if someone isn't a big sporting game player, chances are they fired up a Genesis and tried this one out. If you haven't, however, and are curious what the big deal is, then the upcoming NHL 14 will help you understand some of what the big deal is all about. How will it do that, you ask? With the introduction of an NHL 94 mode, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the title.

In addition to the slapshot, which was introduced in NHL 94, the classic game mode will also include other NHL 94 staples, such as "blue ice, classic star-shaped player indicators, 16-bit arena powerbars, no adboards, and throwback organ music." The classic button controls also return, meaning you'll only need three buttons (Pass, Shoot, and Turbo) to do most of the work. The game mode will also have no penalties, no icing, and no offsides.

NHL 14 releases September 10th in North America and September 13th worldwide.

I've watched Youtube reviews of Deadspace and decided that I'm too much of a pussy to play it; but it's still on my to-play list!

I played the shit out of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Never really had the desire to replay it, but it had me hooked for a solid month or so.

what else have you been playing on the 3DS?

I've been trying to start a franchise in MLB, but I can't pull myself away from RTTS mode. I have a starting pitcher, an outfielder, and a middle infielder going at the same time.
