They sound like a controlled fury on these songs in a way I haven't heard from them since MC joined the band. No knock on Matt. He's a phenomenal drummer. But this band's sound was made for that slightly more chaotic drumming style. I miss this version of the band.
That's all. I'll prepare for the incoming shower of insults.

Does this mean Brett is mixing the current boots?
If so, I was wrong, I was sure it wasn't his work.

chad smith is not canon
i don't trust people named danny
can we at least break-out matt cameron in the poll above to 1998-2000 matt cameron vs. other PJ matt cameron

I would guess you may want Matt 1998-2002, and PRAMG Matt.

Oddly enough the earlier period is also known as PRAMG

He's the penultimate drummer in this poll, really.

I can only ever vote for Dave A, it is my sworn duty
Jack Irons brought a nice different vibe that I appreciate for the direction PJ went in but isn't my go-to style
I have liked Matt C (the second) in phases (his work on Binaural, Riot Act and those tours was great, and I enjoyed him when I saw them in 2006), but he's super inconsistent to me and can be frustratingly and inexplicably boring in his drumming choices

he must either:
- play live with PJ in a non-RITFW setting
- play on at least one demo track that later becomes an album track
- spend a weekend sharing a hotel room with a single queen size bed with Jeff Ament and Lance Mercer in either South Beach, Miami; the Castro district, San Francisco; or anywhere in Massachusetts
