Somewhat unexpected source but Spin's "20 Best Avant/Noise/Jazz/etc Albums of 2013" has introduced me to, or reminded me about, a bunch of really great stuff tonight.

I'm not really up to date on a lot of current music, but I think Esquire or someone had this one on their top most underrated songs of 2013. And I might have to agree. I fricken love this song.

That Olafur Arnalds album was incredibly disappointing.

Yeah I like that Whores records a lot. Missed out on seeing them last time they came though town. Brutal Panda is a great label.

I thought the same about that Oneohtrix Point Never album; I've liked some of his previous stuff but this one didn't do anything for me at all.

Finally got the Lorde album. It's actually very decent.
