She doesn’t need it with her Binary powers, tho, which seemed to be what was going on there at the end.
i think thats the case too

while not binary the fact that her powers are from the
Spoiler: show
tesseract
will allow her to do that but i think the gist of it all is she had no idea how powerful she was and just thought she could shoot beams

She removed it. Quite blatantly.

Apparently there’s outrage because Carol and Maria weren’t lesbian lovers.

I’ve seen zero outrage over it (not that means there isn’t any). People just need to get over their wish-fulfillment fantasies if they had any problems with it. Kinda seems like Carol wasn’t interested in any romance from anything they showed us.

My only wish fulfillment fantasy is that she comes home to me every night.

I mean, there was a Captain Marvel who was a lesbian so I get it but still that's not Carol Danvers, the one the movie is about.

She's not that slick.

I got a little drunk, which lowered my cynicism enough for me to enjoy it.

I enjoyed this more on the second viewing. The action scenes are weak by MCU standards but the character work was really good.

My wife said this was one of her favorite MCU movies

I really enjoyed this movie. There were some personal reasons, to be sure. Still, I think, even removing those elements, I thought it was a fun movie with a lot to like. Brie Larson is a rockstar.
