Did he say burger?tragabigzanda wrote:Bison burger?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Bison and an over easy egg over arugula
Here's something I should probably take to the irrational hatred thread but I really hate when people call anything that isn't beef a "burger." That's not on you, buddy. Just in general. I fucking hate that shit. "I'll have a turkey burger, please." No, no you won't. Because a burger by definition is beef, you sick monster. There's no such thing as a turkey burger!tragabigzanda wrote:No, but he didn't specify what cut of meat it was. I eat bison regularly here, and am informed as to the culling and processing of the animal. And Ruddo and I have discussed bison before. So there is precedent for deeper discussion.durdencommatyler wrote:Did he say burger?tragabigzanda wrote:Bison burger?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Bison and an over easy egg over arugula

I do love bison, though. So fucking delicious.
Ruddo, are you putting ground bison on your salad?
I knew it wasn't a burger, Ruddo. Because you didn't use the word burger. I wasn't positive which cut but I knew it was a steak. And it sounds delicious.E.H. Ruddock wrote:No a steak. Rib cut. So good
Great, now I want bison bresaola AND bison short rib.tragabigzanda wrote:Now we are getting somewhere...Bison is plentiful here, but it's mostly ground, sausage, or loin cuts, and then some of the nicer places will do a bison bresaola, salami, etc. I had bison short rib at a restaurant once and it was insanely good. They have a surprisingly decent Bison "burger" across the street from my work. Maybe I'll hit that up next week as a placeholder.tragabigzanda wrote:Pretty sure there's a Ted's Montana Grill in NYC. You would be eating the same bison I often eat. Couldn't speak to it's quality, given the transport and prep. But it tastes dang good here in MT.durdencommatyler wrote:Great, now I want bison bresaola AND bison short rib.tragabigzanda wrote:Now we are getting somewhere...Bison is plentiful here, but it's mostly ground, sausage, or loin cuts, and then some of the nicer places will do a bison bresaola, salami, etc. I had bison short rib at a restaurant once and it was insanely good. I've had ground bison a handful of times, but never any kind of actual cut. Now I want to.durdencommatyler wrote:They have a surprisingly decent Bison "burger" across the street from my work. E.H. Ruddock wrote:Halls chop House, in Charleston (where I had the best steak I've ever eaten) does a fantastic bison steak. Go to a decent restaurant for your first time, wease. It can be a little tricky to cook at home.
I mean, duh.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah and I find too much salt doesn't help either. It cooks faster than beef, and you want a nice medium rare
