it's a good idea except that Ed would manopause on him for not being monkeywrench enough and Jeff would conspire to have him removed because he can't comprehend what it means to sound like the 'buzzcocks', then after they lay 4 tracks they would remove him over eggs and bring in brendan o'brien's nephew cody to finish the work directly while BOB gives it his stamp of approval after a few volume adjustments upward from his iPhone lounging his pool chaise on the balcony of his corpus christi bayside condo
we've seen this movie before

Both Ronson or danger mouse are shitty choices. I prefer Brendan.
Now if you say Jack Endino...

Jack Endino? Yeah, he'll sure help Pearl Jam make a good record in 1994.

Interesting producers choices: Jacknife Lee, Alan Moulder, Alain Johannes, Danger Mouse, Rick Rubin, Daniel Lanois, Steve Albini, Tucker Martine, Butch Vig, Andy Wallace, John Leckie, Joe Barresi, Jack Endino,Nigel Godrich.
They should just pick the guy for mixing skills. Endino latest Soundgarden mixes were amazing, that Ultramega OK remix or 'Storm' sound killer.
Pick Joe Barresi or Alan Moulder if you want a big sounding rock record. Go for Butch Vig or Rick Rubin for an ego that's even bigger than Brendan's.
Pick Danger Mouse, Tucker Martine or Nigel Godrich for some pitchfork indie cred. Pick Jacknife Lee for the work he has done on the last 2 REM records. Go for Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno or Steve Lillywhite is you want to record to be recorded over a 24 month period, allthough Lanois proved with Uncle Neil that he can work fast. If you want a great sounding record without much bass go for modern legends like John Leckie or Andy Wallace. Go for Alain Johannes because that guy is your friend and he can do everything. He made QOTSA sound much better and produced a couple of amazing Lanegan records.

Peter Katis would be my pick. He works wonders.

Danger Mouse would be terrible fit for PJ. He did a bang up job with the latest Chilis album, though. I'll probably get shot for saying this, but I thought The Getaway was outstanding. Goes to show what changing up the formula can do for a band, as RHCP were as wedded to Rick Rubin as PJ are to BOB.

yep RHCP at least went for something different which is what I want for PJ11. Them working with Danger Mouse would be a disaster though lol.

I remember an interview BOB did early on for PJ Radio, and he was asked if there was any current band he'd like to work with, and he said The National, but they had a good thing going already. and he's right. Katis is has done great things for The National.

Tchad Blake would be cool yeah. But i prefer Endino. His remix of Ultramega Ok and his work on Storm from SG were so fucking good. He could do a marvelous work with PJ.
I always though Lanois could be interesting from a sonic point of view.

The dude who produced/engineered Alabama Shakes last album. He was on the Celebration Rock pod recently and seemed cool. Blanking on his name. Shawn something? His albums all sound spectacular.

This is a good idea. A rock-based newcomer with fresh ears and no allegiance to anything PJ.

No to Jack White, who just recorded the trash Outhouse Reach Around or whatever it was called.
