And... I've seen enough.
Unwatchable. I can't trust anyone who enjoyed that shit.

I watched this movie about a week after quitting smoking and hated it. I've always wondered if I really hated it or if I was cranky from quitting smoking.
The only way to find out is to get hooked on cigarettes again, and then quit again, and then in one week watch your favourite movie and see how you feel about it

I could also just rewatch Game Night, but I don't think I will. My instinct is that I genuinely didn't like it. Plus I find Jason Bateman a little annoying now. He's always playing the same character and I listened to a few episodes of smartless and he sounded like a douchebag.
Haha. The reason I gave Game Night a try is I was listening to the recent Sam Rockwell episode of Smartless and his cohorts were talking up Game Night and were insisting Sam Rockwell should see it. So I thought I'd give it a try. What a bunch of blowhards. I bet Rockwell hates it too.

Do you think Sam Rockwell gave up earlier in the movie than you did?
I think he actually had seen it before the interview but didn't want to be in the awkward position of either tootin' Bateman's horn or telling him the truth, so denied having had ever seen it. In private, I sense he would have told him the truth. But with all the world listening, you don't want to embarrass a guy like that.

Do you think Eddie Vedder has seen it?

I think he and his wife were so enamoured by it, they subsequently began having their own game nights designed specifically after the movie, with Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Dennis Rodman, and Bill Maher and their partners all playing different characters in the motion picture.

Who's Jesse Plemons in this scenario?

Gotta be Tim Robbins. He's kinda creepy. Sean Penn is the older brother and Rodman is the idiot. Maher is the black guy.

But Bill Maher is absolutely insufferable. I wonder if he's as annoying in real life as on his show.

Turns out the movie left out quite a bit of good story, including an actual Von Erich brother who also died tragically. Wonder why they did that. It could have been a much better movie.

Durkin felt it would just be too much tragedy for one movie. I agree - the movie is already over 2 hours. What would you cut out to fit in another character?

Another brother in the story strains credulity. The mind rebels. It would seem obviously fake, a step too far. Reality be damned

Last night we went to the movie theater and watched this, I didn't even know of its existence, no trailer, nothing.
Strong recommendation.

Gee whiz guys. You just tell the story as it is. Emphasize that this is in fact a true story and the audience will be floored if it is well made. There is no need to alter or fictionalize what is already fascinating.
