The light saber thing is no deal. Grievous used 4 at once and he wasn't force sensitive.

No major creature characters. So Chewie isn't in it much? :/

Yeah I just took the light saber usage as a overall tonal shift and an example of how Disney wanted to treat the weapon. In short no big deal that a dude swung it a couple times.

Finn was only ever token black guy.
If it was some white kid in the same role with the same performance the film would lead you to believe he was the protagonist.
They couldn't do that when a female was the lead.

My first umpteen times seeing TFA I took both Rey and Finn as dual leads and I'm kinda disappointed it's gone from that.

You are aware of the outrage at the first trailer and when Finn popped up out of the sand and was a black guy and a few million people lost their minds simply cos he was black and wearing a stormtrooper outfit?

What if we're looking at this the wrong way or following a misdirect kind of?
Maybe Rey is the first one to ever see or feel the balance in the force and Luke hasn't been able to do he needs her in a way as much as she needs him?

Could explain Rians comment that it's not the usual mentor/student relationship we're used to seeing or expect?
