For me, Infallible and Pendulum carries this album. For me, it would be a "good" album, but this two songs got me with a "wow" effect, that they simply stand out on the whole, showing "Hey fuckers, we are the boss arround here".

Nice. I like the support for LtRP. I think it gets way too much hate around here. It's not my favorite, but it is a solid song and a good new avenue for the band to pursue for sure.KurtLeon wrote:Mind your Manners, Getaway, Let The Reccords Play and Yellow Moon.PHATJ wrote:Which are your other favorites (if any)?KurtLeon wrote:For me, Infallible and Pendulum carries this album. At the same time I don't understand the LtRP hate, I don't get the SW love. Its such a mediocre songPHATJ wrote:Nice. I like the support for LtRP. I think it gets way too much hate around here. In true 2003 ed fashion it turns into a rant about voting too.

"Swallowed Whole" is pretty fucking great. "Let the Records Play" is a melty turd.

BTW, I'm glad PJ licensed their songs for the World Series. I couldn't care less about the "sell out" factor. It will make my enjoyment of the games that much better and it will make some of my dumb ass friends have to hear some PJ get burned into their brains!
And that's always a good thing!

I like the chorus in LTRP, it's a shame it was wasted by sandwiching it between a meat 'n' potato's bar blues riff.theplatypus wrote:"Swallowed Whole" is pretty fucking great. "Let the Records Play" is a melty turd.

I like the blues ripoff. Cant stand the uber shitty lifeless chorus.Fuzzcharger wrote:I like the chorus in LTRP, it's a shame it was wasted by sandwiching it between a meat 'n' potato's bar blues riff.theplatypus wrote:"Swallowed Whole" is pretty fucking great. What's even the point of that song existing except to have the blues rock part? Otherwise its just pointless.

It's official for me. Lightning Bolt is a GREAT album. Better than Riot Act for me and knocking on Binaural's door. It is such a full experience and not one song I want to skip. Ed's voice hasn't been this good since Binaural and I am loving all the twists and turns these songs take. I wanted more of a challenging record and they delivered.

First of all, it wasn't a "massive crowd". It was probably one of the smallest venues on the tour. The girl looked like she was about 13 and was trying her best to distract them while they played. Eddie was already in a bad mood that day because of the rude venue staff. So he went off on her. She had already made a fool of herself.Lament wrote:Singling out and berating an individual in a massive crowd for doing something as inconsequential (and ultimately pretty normal for a big ampitheatre show) as flashing her breasts is an unbelievably cruel thing to do.
