Currently sitting in the theater being bored by the new Apes movie. As well animated as they are I just can't give a shit about these CGI Apes and the girl is pretty annoying.

Yes. I'm in the back row so nobody can see it.

I'm starting to fear that this stupid movie is never going to end. It's so boring.

The Charlton Heston one is the only one worth revisiting.

I watched the first sequel, Beneath, last night, and Charlton Heston is also in that one. Odd movie, tremendous ending

I really enjoyed the first with James Franco and Seth Rogen. I can't remember if I saw the second and definitely didn't see the third.

I'm not sure I've ever seen more than one of Heston's and that was years ago.

I don't think Seth Rogen is in Rise

I rewatched the Franco one recently and it was ok - a lot better than this one. My biggest complaint was how cartoonish a lot of the characters were (Malfoy and both of the neighbors that started screaming at his dad for no reason)

I've given up on Kingdom - I went to the bathroom with about 15 minutes left and I can't muster the will to go back.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
