Watched The Insider this evening. Absolutely fantastic. I love a good legal drama and this one really delivered.

Despite my love for Gene Hackman I've never seen it.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. The Killing (1956)
It was cool to see a young Stanley Kubes honing his chops. You can definitely see some kernels of his future genius sprinkled throughout. I liked the non-linear story telling, and the influence on Tarantino is pretty clear.
My two biggest takeaways?

I watched this a few weeks ago and loved it. I love how defeated Sterling Hayden was at the end.Farmer John wrote:The Killing (1956)

I'm watching the 1975 version of The Count of Monte Cristo because I had a hankering for some Tony Curtis.

Decided to watch The Witches of Eastwick based entirely on stumbling upon a clip of Michelle Pfeiffer playing tennis with her butt. Turned out to be as advertised. A wacky and sexy good time. Also kind of strange. Weird, as well. All in all - a blast.

I re-watched The Darjeeling Limited a couple nights ago. It actually can't be improved upon. Everything in it is exactly as it should be. Nothing should be amended, added, subtracted, or polished. A rare five stars from me
