I'm not going to be on Strava for a bit. I fucked up my shoulder the other day and might be electing for surgery in spite of the lengthy rehab. I'll probably be out a few months if I let them cut me.
What kind of surgery?
Probably a bankert repair from what I remember them saying when this first happened in my 20s. Basically, just whatever is necessary to keep my arm from falling out. Luckily, my wife works for an excellent Ortho clinic and if I end up having surgery it will be free.

You're a hockey guy, do you know anyone who has had surgery to correct shoulder instability?

Hot. Humid. Sunny, no clouds. I was super overheated for most of the run and never got up to speed. But I'm proud that I managed 7.5 regardless. Hard to be too mad at myself. At least I got out.

Got some blood flowing through the bad wing today. My form was really stiff and I'm sure how I was holding my arm looked stupid.

Jesus, Walmsley is insane.

Qualified for the marathon Olympic trials, set a new world record for 50 miles and shattered his own Western States 100 CR by 20 minutes all in 6 months.

Less a mileage thing and more of a coolness factor (I am really still trying to get back into it), I took my morning run over the Brooklyn Bridge and returned back over the manhattan bridge. Came out to 4.5 miles but it’s not a bad run. The main issue is with the Brooklyn Bridge because of the tourist foot traffic.

Must admit, I am looking forward to this streak being over now.

Maybe I'll hit the treadmill around 11 tonight so I can say I got three runs in today

84% humidity today. I need to start getting up early to run. I'm getting to old to log miles in peak heat for the day.

Today SU-U-UUU-UCKed. I forced 8 miles out of what should have been 4. So I'll call it a win. But jesus!

Yeah, the heat is killing me as well, but at least "it's a dry heat."

I'm going to my best friend's place in San Antonio at the end of the month and I'm glad the streak will be over. That humidity fucking sucks.

First 30 mile week this year. Fucking took me long enough.

Finished the week at 33 miles.

13% body fat. That's the thickest I've been in 15 years. Getting old fucking sucks.

I'll be in Flagstaff this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing how the elevation effects me this time. Sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it feels like someone's standing of my chest.

Something weird is up with my foot. I decided not to risk further injury and did the stationary bike to keep the impact low. Biking is hard when you're not used to doing it. But I'm glad I did some kind of workout today.
