Just plunked down $$ for Battlefield 1, looks like it should be playable tomorrow evening sometime. The campaign does sound pretty sweet, if a little short (6 hours I think?), and the co-op I played during the beta was just fantastic.

Re: the Switch trailer:
The good
The graphics look great, especially for a portable unit. It seems like their more cartoonish graphics have finally gotten to a point where it feels modern and fun, rather than a few years behind what PS4 and XB1 are doing.
This looks like a slam dunk for the devoted gamer. The ease of switching from console to portable looks really fluid. I don't have enough hours to devote to this much gameplay, so I'm not the target market. But were I a millionaire with limitless time, I'd be all over this.
Based on the ad, it looks as though you can play with other friends on separate hand-held units, which is obviously a plus. Would be great for traveling, or even during your lunch break at the office.
The bad
The guy they focus on for the first part of the ad looks braindead.
That little pop-out stand looks fragile as hell.
The scene with 4-5 guys playing basketball around the single, small portable screen? Uh, no way.
The unknown
Was really surprised when the guy on the airplane didn't start watching a movie, but was rather playing a game with a different type of controller. Surely this thing must support streaming media? Seems like a major boner if it can't.
I'm just guessing that battery life is going to be a hassle, but maybe I'm wrong.
More than anything, I just wish there was a Splatoon port for PS4. That game looks like a ball.

Well, bollocks. I've been itching for some kind of RDR on PC and now this. Looks like I might get to play it 5 years down the line :/
Switch could be tempting to me - I've always thought a Nintendo device plus a PC is a good pairing.

If there was an HD port of Super Mario Galaxy I would buy on day one.
Looks like slightly less than PS4/XboxOne graphics, which is incredible given the portability. My Vita can get 5-7 hours of battery life, I would imagine this will get 3-5. This thing is going to be great for kids/commuters. Now, we wait to see if developers actually make games for this thing.

Still, 3-5 hours of battery life isn't bad. That's the length of your average domestic flight.

Right, even if it's just 2-3 hours it still won't be bad, especially if it has a portable charger.

Ha. I've heard of some bugs, but the only problem I've had is not tracking certain achievements that I've clearly accomplished.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is pretty fun. I dig the crafting/exploration/challenge tombs element. The characters (aside from Lara) and story is super bland however.

Why can't they get a decent story for this series? The crafting in the new one sort of sounds like Far Cry 4, which I loved. I will definitely pick this up at a later date, but it's a bummer that I'll likely be skipping all the cutscenes.
