Bridgette Fonda and Robert Deniro both die in Jackie Brown because they didn’t get a better spot

Really more of an entertainment complaint but there are times when the story has a "they're doing it exactly as you said" scene and 'it' is never defined to you the watcher because the people behind the story want to keep you interested. But why would the characters be coy about what "it" is in conversation? It just seems hacky sometimes, though I guess it depends on how well the writers and/or directors handle that situation.

It’s quite likely that there are many movies in my DVD/Blu-ray collection that I’ll never see.

I put in the first Iron Man blu-ray the other day to watch and was surprised when the Paramount logo came up, I had forgotten they were the OG distributors of the movies. Doing some research led me to some articles and - of course - to the comments.

Kevin Feige remains in charge. This guarantees that Disney will lose money on every film.

im still fascinated with the JT Leroy story. The doc is amazing, the movie is a good companion piece and i just realized the boy in the Asia Argento movie is the one who called her out last year.

Wish we dropped film as a term and called it Lumiere.

It’s way more interesting and packed with story

And it sounds cooler

Her Smell is the worst title I’ve ever heard. It’s so bad that I don’t even care what the movie is - I’ll never watch it.

What was the last movie that changed everything? The last movie that had a massive, profound impact on the cinematic landscape? That influenced countless movies in its wake?

Was it The Matrix? Has there been anything since that had that kind of seismic impact?

Did it, though? Outside of other studios trying and failing to mimic the “cinematic universe” bullshit.

It revolutionized the aesthetic of action and sci-fi for quite a while. Hyper-choreographed action with slow motion and bullet time and all that. It became ubiquitous. It kinda ended the era of ‘80s and ‘90s action as we knew it.
