Download your Google sheet as a .csv and import it into letterboxed at letterboxd.com/import, or on the app. Easy as pie
Interesting. Thank you.
Please let me know if you have any issues, I'd like to help
I tried, but it doesn't understand my date format (m/dd/yy) so I'm just going to stick with my spreadsheet.

Send me your spreadsheet. I can do plug in some formulas and jiggle things around to make letterboxd happy. I love that kind of thing. Give me a shot

I do, I honestly do. Finding an elegant solution to a problem in Excel is pleasant for me

I don't doubt that you love it. Hilarious Argo is back, and I'm feeling it.

I just want to be helpful, Lenny. I want to be of service. I believe I have the skills to solve this problem and I want to try.
You can also just send me like the first ten lines. I'll build a macro that you can run to fix the rest in one click. If you don't want me to see your whole sheet, that's fine

I don't know how to do that and I don't want to do it. Happiness is being of service to others. Let me be happy

I got it sorted (although it didn't upload my ratings)
I'm tommymctom on letterboxd. Let's see if I maintain my account.

They aren't. I'll yell at them tomorrow until they sign up.

I saw Evil Does Not Exist, the new movie from Ryusuke Hamaguchi of Drive My Car fame, at the theatre over the weekend. The whole movie hinges around an information session hosted by a couple Tokyo corporate spokesman trying to sell the people from this country village on a "glamping" facility they intend to build. It's a tremendous, complex, nuanced, understated scene about respect and belonging and capitalism...but on its surface, yeah, it's kind of about how big the sewage tank is going to be and where they should put it.
During the scene, I heard someone behind me whisper "this is terrible". Then at the end of the movie (again, tremendous) I heard a wife apologize to her husband: "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was going to be like this."
This is the same cinema where at the end of Aftersun a couple years ago, the only other person in the theatre asked me to explain the movie to them. I fear that I live in a town of dummies
