McCarthy was garbage when he was with the Rangers. He has since learned how to pitch/keep the ball down. He is a good fit in the NL. Maybe Cubs or Cards or Giants.

True. As bad as the Rangers were in OPS in 2013 (2014 was kind of a Wash no pun intended with all of the injuries and I wanna say 8th or 9th in the AL in 2013) he'd be an upgrade DH-ing.

I really do think the Red Sox are going to trade for shark, they need pitching, would like to avoid long term contracts, and have a lengthy history of deals with Oakland.

I'd still be pissed for not having Lester, but I'd begrudgingly accept Shark, Shields, and BMac.

In fact, outside of being an adorable postseason story, Pablo Sandoval kinda stinks. This is his PEAK. and he really is barely above average.

Maybe it's a thyroid situation?
I think his pop would translate a little better in Texas. As would a guy like Gattis who sounds like will get dealt.
Staying on the Giants I'd take a shot at Morse to DH.

A little bit better than the low 700s in OPS is still not what you want at DH.

$ aside, the Rangers signing Sandoval is about the dumbest thing ever. They Already have a 1B version of him signed for the next 6 years in Prince Fielder (who is awful defensively and Should be the DH), and a top shelf borderline HoF 3B... and are no where near contending.

Adding on to the Texas thing, I imagine Panda's weight issues might get exacerbated playing in Texas as opposed to cool and breezy San Fran as well.
