Oh for sure. The OG is just about perfect. 2 and 3 are superfluous, I guess, but they are each enjoyable in their own way. I haven't actually watched 3 in a really long time. But my memory is that it's a ton of fun and a nice twist on the old formula that offered a lot more than 2, which was really just the first one but more annoying and tedious.

There was something off about the way the movie depicted violence and abuse. It wasn’t shown as slapstick like the first one but it also wasn’t shown as something awful to be avoided. It was like it was routine. Very unusual even for 80s movies
