I know a lot of you are afraid to admit you voted for Trump. It’s ok, we can tell.

"I voted for Trump." wouldn't even crack the top 1000 most offensive things said by the conservative leaning RM members.

There’s no way he makes it through the confirmation process right? I’ve seen more republicans than democrats today talking about how this is a bad idea

They confirmed 2 accused rapists to the Supreme Court, why wouldn't they put one in the cabinet?

they say that now, but then when the time comes, they'll fall in line and do what don wants like always.

i'd say he must threaten their families or something behind the scenes, but it's probably just politcal self interest in the end. so gross.

The Senate is the chamber of congress that approves cabinet nominations. The Senate will have the majority when the next term starts. Very few of them oppose anything Trump says, so it’s widely believed all his nominations will confirmed.

Trump is demanding that when it’s time to start the new term, they stay in recess so he can recess appoint all his cabinet nominees. This is when the POTUS can simply name his cabinet while the Senate is not in session.

Either way, he’s getting his picks thru.

they are all gonna get through. trump will throw a hissy fit about traitors if any R's don't back his picks. the creep from florida is the only person who might not get through, imo.

Polymarket has Gaetz' confirmation at 31%. Sounds about right to me.

This should probably be getting discussed more. What an absolutely wild demand.

I don't think AG is a position that falls under this rule, so he wouldn't be able to get in that way. But still a wild premise.

Is it not? I'm not aware of exceptions to recess appointments, but if that's true it'd make his demand even more perplexing seeing as Gaetz is the one most likely to not be confirmed.
