I had the beer shits when I got up, but other than that I feel pretty decent.

Man, went to my fav bar in the area last night for a local tap takeover and for some reason half the beers I ordered smelled strange and tasted a bit like soap. Kinda pissed.

They probably cleaned the lines but didn't rinse very well. Too bad.

Or just shitty beer. "Soap" is the most common characteristic of bad brews. I believe it's because the batch is left to ferment too long.

Mijo Triple IPA from 12 West. I'm stumbling home tonight.

Barrio Brewing, one of Arizona's first, opened their first PHX joint a couple of months ago. I didn't realize it was 4 miles from my house.

I did two flights. They have 2 great IPAs, a killer 11% double English ale and a nice raspberry sour. $5 pints, $6 Sonoran Dogs with pub fries and a cool location right at the end of an airport (commercial) runway.

Zero IBU DIPA from AZ Wilderness. Tasty for sure, but too smooth for my tastes. It was a little too much like drinking OJ.

Friend of mine at work just surprised me with a Heady and a Double Galaxy. She apparently went to VT last weekend and brought me in one of each in a cooler. Have had Heady several times, but never the Double Galaxy. Helluva way to start the long weekend.
