After hating Poor Things so much I really thought I was done with Lanthimos, but I loooooved Kinds of Kindness. Brilliant movie. Extremely funny too

i tried with this one but found it insufferable and boring. Im convinced Lanthimos was pranking the studio when he did this movie.

Kinds of Kindness

Not sure how to even begin gathering my thoughts on this. I think I liked it? It’s definitely a turn from Poor Things. It’s more of a Killing of a Sacred Deer vibe, but sillier, and if it were made into three very bleak, very messed up episodes of the Twilight Zone.

What was it “about”? Who the hell knows. One thing for sure is that it features Jesse Plemons operating at the peak of his powers. He’s putting on a clinic here.

we watched this yesterday...weird but really liked it..almost a comedy...might need to watch it again soon

The main thing keeping me from watching The Fall Guy is that I count Bullet Train as one of the worst movies I've ever seen

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Watched French Dispatch. I'm not a huge Wes Anderson fan, but this one was... Alright. Definitely too twee but he's also doing some new things here.

Beautiful movie. Loved foliowing the characters. It didn't feel too long.
