Stellar cast and everyone brings it, and the Montana/Wyoming scenery is stunningly gorgeous. Haven't seen that kind of imagery in a movie in a long time.
Have they announced what they are doing with 2? Is it just going right to a streaming service now?

Costner claims it's still getting a theatrical release but no date is confirmed.

This is actually a very kind review.

Turns out it was true.

A movie about a real Hollywood icon, only showing her in constant crisis, with made up stories. Patethic.

Here’s one review I read:

I’d always thought that Marilyn Monroe biopics would be so much better if they cruelly devoted several different scenes to her doomed CGI fetuses. starting to think I might have been wrong.

And another:

This is a Marilyn’s personal hell: where she dies and people keep making movies, documentaries and books about the worst moments of her life over and over again for decades – and we just live in it.

I owe Lenny an apology. I tried watching Licorice Pizza but it was awful. The HAIM girl is awful.

Out.

You said some nasty things about the HAIM girl and I defended her honor. I was wrong to. She is awful.

I see. I’m pretty sure I enjoyed the movie at least somewhat though? Maybe it was just her and PSH Jr that underwhelmed me

Really no problem with either of their performances. How far in did you make it?

I like it when Bradley Cooper swoops in and steals the show.

I could go for another Inherent Vice rewatch. That was one that 100% needed a second viewing to click

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Good musician. But as an actress she deserves to be killed + eaten.

I only watched like 20 mins. I'm going to try again and will probably walk all of this back.
