I have a presentation today at work for the latest commercial we did. It should be an easy going, kinda done deal stuff, but these guys...they always surprise me.
Sometimes they find the most incredible stuff to complain like "WAIT WHY DO WE HAVE A GRANPA IN THE COMMERCIAL" when they ask for it, approved it and went to the fucking shooting.

It's maddening.

It's important to not give a shit about what you're making. Having an outside creative outlet away from work in which you can be a tyrant helps.

yeah, thats a classic. A few years ago it happened during a shooting. 3 am and there were like 8 people in a fucking zoom talking about a soccer ball's color. One of them, who never appeared before, said he would like a red one, were in pre production they asked for a blue one.

I said i dont have one. He was visibly bummed out.

There is a baboon in me . . . clambering-clawed . . . dog-faced . . . yawping a galoot's hunger . . . hairy under the armpits . . . here are the hawk-eyed hankering men . . . here are the blonde and blue-eyed women . . . here they hide curled asleep waiting . . . ready to snarl and kill . . . ready to sing and give milk . . . waiting—I keep the baboon because the wilderness says so.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

the movers with all of our stuff from California said they would be here April 5-7 as we requested..they called today and didn't have as many other pickups on the drive up so they are delivering tomorrow at 7am...I love fast movers but sure could have used and extra day at least..
