The Favourite. Unexpectedly disappointed with it. I don’t mind that none of the characters are unlikeable, I just never really cared about the events. Ultimately felt tedious

Megalopolis

I'll have to watch it again but I liked it. It's everything everyone has said about it, but indulgent and goofy and unguarded passion projects are honest and interesting if nothing else. I find the whole story around it inspiring.

I wasn't exactly glued to the screen, but I wasn't ready to leave either. I'd say it isn't boring, but it often is (usually when that Game of Thrones girl is on-screen. Not really her fault, but her character is dull as fuck.) Voight, LaBoof and Aubrey Plaza are great, though. I wish they were in it a lot more.

My take is that it's basically The Fountain Head, but instead of being on the nose, it's opaque.

It's like an inside joke that you aren't in on, but you feel like it would be really funny if you were.
