I don't really have a team. But if I had to pick, Arizona State.

PHX.

I grew up in an OU household, but I've grown to hate all things Oklahoma at this point and think Bob Stoops is the single most overrated person in college football. Big Game Bob.

Cool. Much respect for OU.

I think Stoops is a really good coach but all the turnover in staff has caught up with him a little bit. He also isn't getting the different makers he use to.

By my eyes Stoops' OU teams have underperformed in almost every "big game". The FSU national championship game is basically the only really "big game" his team has excelled in. Alabama mailed it in the year he beat The Tide in the Sugar.

And those were all John Blake recruits as well.

I've always hated Duke (mainly for basketball), but I really like David Cutcliffe (the football coach). He's old school, and actually has Duke winning. I would not complain about seeing a Duke vs. Clemson ACCCG (to be fair, it could be anyone against Clemson and I would not complain).

I'm not overly sold on Mike Riley. We will see. I would not have been against Nebraska hiring Cutcliffe. Bringing in Scott Frost as the OC/HC in waiting. The guy has won 19 games at Duke in two years. I doubt anyone else has done that. If we were going to hire an experienced coach a guy like DC makes sense. Oddly enough they went to college (Bama) together.

Looking at your schedule it sets up really nice.

I love having season tickets and living in the same town as the team. Makes tailgating and stumbling home much easier.

Maybe a little?

I never really hated OU. My hate in college athletics is reserved for Creighton, Texas, Colorado, Miami, etc. There was always a mutual respect there between NU/OU fan bases. Still is I think. I probably root for them a little more now that we are not in the same conference. Same with A&M and Kansas.

Preach! Full disclosure....I am just as excited for tailgate season.

Only time I ever saw a game there was 1994 but it was a lot of fun.

The Nebraska tailgating scene has always underwhelmed, at least in the times I've been there last ('06, '08, '10). The whole keep your beer in plastic cup thing is pretty lame. Maybe I just haven't tailgated in the right spots.

You are 90% correct. Most of them suck. Agreed you have not been to the right ones. My buddy's boss is a big time booster and has a primo spot. He is the most chill guy except for 12 Saturdays a year.

Yes, it most certainly helps to have a good spot with someone who actually tailgates. I hate when some luxury car pulls up to a spot right by the stadium 10 minutes before kickoff. That is prime tailgating real estate you rich bastard! Take advantage of it.

Ah, good point, I was just thinking Spurrier actually won at Duke, which is a pretty rare thing, and hasn't happened much until recently.
