That Tame Impala tune is boring as fuck. Kevin has completely lost his mojo. :|

Marcus King’s Darling Blue comes out tomorrow. His first album with the Marcus King Band since 2018 (he’s had a number of solo albums). Excited to hear it.

Beats by The Alchemist are sick. Not really sure about Gibbs as an emcee.

Listened yesterday. The first half is VERY country, but good, and then the second half opens up and has a lot of great songs. Heartlands, Levi’s and Goodbyes, Carolina Honey, Dirt w/Billy Strings, and Pretty Petty stuck out in the first listen.

He has a very freestyle flow. Lots of "yuh... yah..." space fillers. Maybe I'll warm to it, but it's not my favorite.

Still, beats are the shit.

Liked their first album, but the singles after were meh. Keen to check it out though.

I was a little concerned with the singles (they seemed less gritty), but the album experience as a whole restored my faith; very coherent thematically, and the singles are really strengthened by what's around them (one of those times where I'm not sure singles are even useful)

I am a little surprised that, given I always thought this board jumped on anything Wilco related like white on rice, that there’s been no discussion of the Jeff Tweedy album. I sacrificed my morning commute commitment to the studio albums thread to give it a listen this morning. So far I think it’s really good - at least as I listen to disc 1.
