The Gang Hit The Slopes was pretty shitty, otherwise season 10 is pretty good so far.

Hey, I started Deadwood once.
So did I. Briefly.

That was a fun episode for a straight up parody episode. But it wasn't as good as a lot of the rest of the season.

Isn't it kinda weird that this show has lifted entire plotlines from South Park on multiple occasions?

Has it? I wouldn't know. But if that's true, I'd say, nah. Not so weird. Every show does that. Most half hour comedies are just remixes.

The Gang Hits the Slopes is basically a remake of Asspen, and the plot about Mac feeling left out because his gym teacher didn't molest him is almost exactly the same as a plot from The Brown Noise. I feel like there are more, but those two jump to mind immediately.

Interesting. Did the South Park episodes come first in both cases?

Seems to me like the gang is just a bunch of intellectual property thieves.

yeah I feel like there was another one, too. But South Park has been around so long at this point. Simpsons did it.

But Slopes in particular could be a retread of a dozen other parodies.

That's just the way these things go. It's pretty common across the medium.

do you like tv shows at all? since i know narrative/story isn't overly important to you in films, it seems like you'd have a hard time getting into prolonged tv shows

He loves and appreciates the utter brilliance that is Sex and the City. So, yeah, I think he likes TV. When it's good.

I rewatched Deadwood recently and didn't like it nearly as much. The later episodes are good, but the early ones are kinda shitty.

I mean, the early episodes have Nick Offerman's dick in them. So they aren't all bad.

Not an exciting or creative list, but:
The Wire
Game of Thrones (often terrible, but when it's good it's incredible)
Breaking Bad

Still a lot I haven't seen yet, though.
