It sounded almost identical to the Judas O studio version. They sampled much of that version, with Billy doing live vocals and Jeff adding guitar fills on top. It was cool, but definitely one step above Karaoke.

It was still cool, though! Honestly, I was beyond shocked to hear "Identify". Billy's demo of the song (before he gave it to Natalie Imbruglia) leaked last year and is absolutely stunning:

This made me kind of weepy. I know that Billy and Jimmy are making / going to make a new album with some of these songs. I hope they bring in Iha to play on at least some of them, don't overproduce it, and when it's out and getting good reviews, tour it. And then quit. That's the only way to right the wrongs of the past 8-9 years.

This keys/E-Bowed guitar version of Disarm by Billy and James is wonderful:

I agree with matt. If jimmy is recording with billy, it would be nice to have james on a few songs there too. Im not sure about them touring, but last night seemed special for everyone.

Can darcy still go out and play? Maybe melissa?

Sorry if this is a repeat post but I saw whatever group of people Billy Corgan was passing off as The Smashing Pumpkins a few years back and whoever he had back there on drums was an embarrassment. He should not have been allowed to attempt Jimmy Chamberlain's parts. But he did. And it was bad.

When Jimmy left in 2009 I swore I'd only see the band if Jimmy came back. He did, so I went to see them. But I'm standing by this. Hopefully Billy is, too.

I'm listening to Live Inside the Dark Globe right now and Jimmy's drumming on these versions of Fuck You and XYU is particularly mind-blowing.

Jimmmy is viral to whatever billy wants to do. Its the only drummer who actually improves his songwriting.

The man is a god behind the drums. I've made it a point to specifically watch him the three times I've seen him do his thing. He and Billy have a next-level musical connection, and it's a joy to watch the two of them play off each other.
