This is madness.
i kind of waffled on valtari. i like that one, and thought the video project they did for that record was pretty cool. but kveikur didn't really stick with me and med sud... i don't really like at all.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

The first half of Valtari ist so so good. Too bad they choose to go instrumental at the end. Those songs are quite nice but nothing special without Jonsi.

Picked it up Friday after work after running across a copy at the store. 10% discount for a holiday shopping special too. I almost didn't grab it bc of the price, but in the end, it's just too good of an album.

Yeah, it sounds like some places gave it a ridiculous markup (and then some places, like Amoeba, were selling it in the $25-$30 range for some reason). Totally worth it, though, even for the $42 or whatever I paid.

I think the band is selling it on their website for $45

They are playing the Hollywood Bowl on September 24. Really hoping they announce more tour dates in the U.S.

I think I like the one with the naked butts on the cover more than most people do.

I thought when Ruddo bumped this thread that it was some kind of announcement, like a full tour or new album.

As for Með suð..., yeah, the folk pop tunes are the best part of the album. When the second half goes back to Sigur Rós as usual, I'm a bit disappointed, but it's not bad.

I'd think so. Seems odd to have a one off gig in the States after a Euro festival tour.
