I tried to get into Bright Eyes with their two 2005 albums (something about vaguely irritating singer-songwriter types putting out multiple albums that year), but the only songs I ever really liked were "At the Bottom of Everything" (though I always fast-forwarded through that long, silly spoken word part at the beginning) and "Arc of Time." It was tough getting past the singing.

I like Conor in supergroups (Monsters of Folk and this new thing) but a little goes a long way.

If The Brakeman Turns My Way is an great song with brilliant lyrics and a catchy AF melody. I adore it still.
