Yeah, I mean with Ripken I wasn't really considering him but he jumps out on that list.

He was definitely one of the guys on the "How long can I wait before taking him?" list.

Even here, like he's known but he's just like a guy that you see at the fantasy camps and stuff. His name never comes up when discussing great Red Sox players.

I'm a pretty big baseball stats/trivia nerd, and, like I said, I had never heard of him before I started looking into this draft. There are a few other guys who fit that bill, too, but most of them really did have just the one big season and did very little other than that.

Plus, he put those numbers up at SS, which makes even stranger that he is so forgotten. It's not like he was a run of the mill power hitting 1B.
