The single from the EP, Sad Lover, is up for sale now on UK iTunes. Of course there's nothing here in the fucking States so I haven't heard it yet. Needless to say, I'm fucking pumped.

Yes, phantom radio in October.

EP is like blues funeral but more electronic
Phantom radio has songs like judgment time and I am the wolf, more in the vein of his earlier material.

I was thinking maybe the LP would be a little more subdued compared to the EP, but now I don't know after listening to another new song--this one called Harvest Home, which I assume to be on Phantom Radio. It's a bad ass little tune, reminds a bit of Sad Disco.

Anyone listen to the new single, Sad Lover, yet? Still not available in the US....

Sad Lover is available via UK iTunes. That's the only studio version version available for any of the new songs thus far.

Heavenly finally posted some more news, too. Alain Johannes produced the new album....fuck yeah. Phantom Radio artwork and tracklisting will be released within the next few weeks, according to the press release.

About the new song...yeah, it sounds kinda like a Screaming Trees outtake, because of his vocals.

Looking forward to the whole thing.

New single, Sad Lover, is very much like a Buzz Factory (early Screaming Trees) tune, I love it (I'm digging the entire EP for that matter, but it's def a grower). You can hear the single here:

I haven't listened to buzz factory in forever--or any of that really old screaming trees stuff. I always quite liked grey diamond desert and flower web. Lets give this a listen

I was never expecting to hear a return of those high pitched vocals. The music is really cool. I wouldn't have pegged this as Lanegan if I didn't know. The song is unusually catchy for him. I liked it a lot.
