This franchise is such an embarrassment in every conceivable way.

The last 10 years have been dreadful down here. I'm mad at myself because I was against the Suh signing months ago and then reading stuff everyday during training camp, all the "OMG he's unblockable!!!1" hype made me start to think that maybe he's such a transcendent talent that it it was okay just this once for them to keep stubbornly and foolishly attempting to build through FA. But no. I was right initially.

This team is the worst kind of bad, too. It's not even like a scrappy, underdog team that you root for to beat the odds so you kind of love them in their own special way even though they're awful.

I just read about those Tannehill comments to the practice squad. Man, what a d-bag if that is true.

That was my first reaction. It seems that the story is wrong/missing information in a few key pieces which make it not so bad. So a few things:
1. The paycheck comment has been denied by Tannehill and multiple reporters. He did say the "practice squad trophy" thing.
2. This was a walk-through, not a practice.
3. The defenders know the offensive play call and are there to simulate various looks of the Jets defense.
4. Supposedly (according to a few former NFL players I've heard talking about this) the point of this is so they can see the look and practice making different reads/targets on the plays they'll be running. Sometimes they'll do the same play multiple times in a row, throw to the same guy just to get a feel of that throw. Or might change and throw to an alternate WR just to have that rep down in case that's where the ball needs to go in the game. Anyway, it seems that there was a guy who was a bit over the top breaking up plays and picking off passes, being disruptive in general, when that isn't really the point of the drill. So Tannehill got pissed because he felt like this guy was sabotaging the drill.

So Idk how accurate that stuff is, but I'm inclined to believe something like that rather than that he's a raging d-bag and that the coach has to tell the practice squad to stop picking off Tannehill in practice because they'll hurt his confidence. And whoever told that reporter his story should probably go find another team to play for.

When Coples suffers a catastrophic injury on Sunday and the Dolphins are on the hook for $7.8 million next year....

LOL. Anyone who uses "bae" I immediately ignore.
Miko Grimes rips Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill

Miko Grimes, the wife of Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, is no stranger to controversy.

In the past, Miko Grimes has used Twitter to rant about things including her husband not winning MVP honors at the Pro Bowl, his alleged mistreatment by the Atlanta Falcons, what she sees as the NFL's greed and sexism, and her unhappiness with the New England Patriots for parting company with Vince Wilfork.

She has also been a harsh critic of her husband's teammate, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, on her local radio show.

Miko Grimes has taken aim at Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, posting on Twitter that "I knew this qb stunk the minute we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn't discourage bae from believing in his team."
Earlier this season, she was arrested on charges of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct outside of Sun Life Stadium before a Bills-Dolphins game. The charges were later dropped.

Miko Grimes was back at it Sunday, tweeting harsh criticism of Tannehill after the Dolphins lost 18-12 to the Colts. Her Twitter account has since been protected, but not before a number of media outlets had captured her tweets.

"I knew this qb stunk the minute we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn't discourage bae from believing in his team," she tweeted.

Of Tannehill she also tweeted: "I should've known we were gonna lose when I heard we didn't complete a single pass in two minute drills this week against the practice squad defense." She added: "My Column: how many people does Ryan Tannehill have to get fired before you realize he's the problem."

Miko Grimes also continued her criticism of three local sportswriters, tweeting profane comments about the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley and Armando Salguero and Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. She refers to the men as "the Triple A's." She also tweeted: "In conclusion ... the triple A's have an agenda. Destroy the defense and make everything look like Tannehill is not the problem. #GotIt."

The Miami Herald reports that Dolphins officials have met with Grimes and his wife at least five times to express concern over her behavior on social media and how it reflects poorly on the team. There also has been concern over whether Miko Grimes' opinions are reflective of things her husband might believe about his team.

That's the right thing to do and this instance is just another example.

Dolphins are going to be right against the cap thanks to that monster Suh deal, and cutting Grimes saves then $6.5 million. ing to a 32 year old CB seems right to me.

yeah, and his wife isn't doing him any favors for when other teams are looking at him as a possible signing.
