Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Their perfect record of never disappointing me is still intact.

So lucky to have been in my teens - 30s during this band's prime.

I'm only a few tracks in, but "Bodysnatchers" was the worst offender so far. I do still love "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi" though.

As I'm listening, the more it's bugging me that I can't put my finger on what it is about their post-HTTT output that doesn't work for me. Like, I can sit back and hear that, seemingly, most of the right pieces are there, but they just don't fit together for me like their previous stuff. They don't get in my guts. They don't excite me. I don't know. I can't figure it out. Argh.

The Numbers sounds kind of Neil Youngsy to me.

At least you're also not understanding it yourself. I truly get not loving The King Of Limbs even though I really like it but loving Radiohead and not loving In Rainbows really baffles me.

The climax of Bodysnatchers is so fucking great and pumps me up every time.

...but even that one went in an unwanted direction at the end. Dammit, Radiohead. :shake:

Downloading now. So excited to see so many of the promising live tracks from recent years have made it onto record. Track 10 must be the most Radiohead song title ever. Is it 'The Thief'? I'll soon find out.

Anyone else notice the tracklist is in alphabetical order?

I hope you still give A Moon Shaped Pool a chance. It's a pretty different direction. Burn The Witch and Daydreaming aren't really that representative of the whole album (but also not out of place) so maybe there's something in there you'll like.

Yeah, when it "leaked" on Google Play before the official release time everyone thought the tracklist must be wrong because of that.

A big question for me:

Do I pick up the regular, run of the mill vinyl of this album on June 17 to tide me over til the special edition comes in September, or wait & only listen digitally til September??

I'm only half joking. What a time to be alive. First world problems.

Makes me feel like this could be our very own Radiohead: Choose Your Own Adventure.
