Yeah, I hate that. That part of the song is the best thing in their entire catalogue, and they ruined it.cutuphalfdead wrote:That call and response really breaks the momentum in Corduroy.

I really hope they get rid of that. It's taken one of my favorite live tunes and turned it into one of my least favorite.

Re: 2016-08-05: Boston, Massachusetts
Hey guys, so sorry to mislead everyone on the early start. My friend does work high up at the Sox and PJ management did say 6:30. Another friend who also works in PR in town, had the same report from a different Sox source, so I thought it was legit, which I think it was. But what PJ Management tells the Sox isn't necessarily what's really going to happen. I have a source at TD Garden too and have experienced the same thing...the band telling the venue one thing and then another thing happen.
I've never purchased a poster, but lucked out, I think, when I took a piss during Alive and found a booth w/ no line so I grabbed that one with the old time cracker jack baseball guy with the white background. I guess I will frame it.
As for the show....mmmmm, kinda meh, with the exception of I've Got a Feeling, Release into Long Road, Strangest, and Comfortably Numb.
The Cordoroy sing along is brutal. It might be PJ's worst attempt to change a solid live song. It's totally ruined.
Overall, I found the sites and sounds a lot more interesting...it was weird to see hot chicks at a pearl jam show. Also, lots of weed in the air, more than usual, so that was cool, too.
Again, sorry for the misinformation, but I hope that it helped some people avoid those long security lines.

Don't be down on yourself, Coach. The tix said 6:30, too. If you can't go by what's in the actual tickets, what CAN you go by?

Coach you should be ashamed of yourself. You're lucky you haven't been banned for this.

For my punishment, I promise to listen exclusively to Backspacer, on shuffle, for a week.cutuphalfdead wrote:Coach you should be ashamed of yourself. You're lucky you haven't been banned for this.

That hashtag = "some things" aka some clown named Paul Wirt posting a bunch of videos from Guitar Center?Coach wrote:Ah, I didn't exactly point my camera right at strangers, but if you look at periscope, instagram, twitter, facebook with #pjinfenway, you will see some things.Bammer wrote:Photo evidence of alleged hot chix plz

He said hot chicks and weed in the same story.
There were no hot chicks. Blame the weed. Bong goggles.

It's so bad. I got excited for a second when eddie started the song. I'm like "cool, corduroy late". but then I thought of what was coming..wease wrote:I really hope they get rid of that. It's taken one of my favorite live tunes and turned it into one of my least favorite.
At least they played DTE correctly.. I cringed for a sec when they got to Stone's solo

Loved the setlist. Chock full o' social commentary.. minimal lovey-dovey nonsense.
Eddie's starting to get ornery.. Hope it continues tomorrow.

That was my first time hearing that Corduroy breakdown...good god that thing is atrocious
Was just happy to finally get through a show without Rockin and Save You...everyone else is sick of Baba and I'm just kinda sitting there going "wow, this is nice, haven't been in the building for this in 13 years...."
Still no Go or In Hiding though
Would've much preferred Angel over Strangest Tribe
Really really good show, sound was much better than I thought it'd be

Yeah I can't speak for what it sounds like further back in the stands, but on the field between the stage and the sound booth it sounded great.
